Beyond Blue

back-ally1

Kate,

This is the last email I will ever write.

I’m standing at the end of a lonely alley.  The blue door stands in the middle like a flame burning against a stone white background.  Beyond it lies the epicenter of relief.  Heaven and Hell together in one place.

I’m weak.  Still sick and diseased.  The many repeated attempts at redemption have worn my soul down to the bone.  I long for the feeling of their giant talons sinking into my flesh as they drag me across the threshold.

Forget the bad.

Remember us happy.

Jim
